Technology, The Future, And You

Your opportunities are shaped by the development, deployment, and adoption of technologies across industries and in societies. Who you know, what you know, how you know, how you interact with others, and how you respond to personal needs for health and livelihood is mediated by large-scale technical architectures and the systems maintaining them. This holds true for everything from border security to basic consumption decisions.

These architectures are currently changing dramatically, transforming power, economics, industries, and society at large. The technologies surrounding us fulfill our aspirations, yet they also shape new patterns, alter perceptions, and sometimes break in unforeseen ways. They are products of human vision and yet can remove control from human hands.

Whether consumer, business leader, scientist, citizen, or policymaker, everyone has a role to play in driving the trajectory of technology. How can we build a better future with more informed decisions about the development, adoption, and use of technology?
